ABBADASH is a shorthaired black tabby, about 10 weeks old. He was found scavenging bread on a rural property before Christmas, and is now ready to meet a loving family who will give him his forever home. He enjoys the company of cats and dogs, but would also be quite happy being an only fur-child lapping up all the attention.

If you are interested in ABBADASH and would like to meet him please contact The Scratching Post, via phone 06 765 0414 or email moggie@thescratchingpost.co.nz for more information on how to adopt. Viewing is available in NEW PLYMOUTH by appointment, or in STRATFORD Tuesday to Friday 10am-3pm.

All kittens are litterbox trained, have been vet health-checked, desexed, regularly treated against worms & fleas, and have had their 1st vaccination. They have been raised in loving foster homes and are happy, healthy, well-socialised kittens, ready to join new families for their forever homes. An adoption fee of $130 applies, to help our charity recoup some of the costs associated with each kitten’s care.

We are a small Trust independent of any other organisation. Our operation is 100% run by volunteers who all share the same belief - pets are part of the family and deserve to be treated with respect.
We strongly advocate the need for pets to be desexed to stop the cycle of abandoned & unwanted animals in our community. For more information about the Trust and what we do, check out www.thescratchingpost.co.nz.
