GIRL REUNITED THROUGH PETSONTHENET & CENTRAL CITY VETS!! Wellington,Small black & white fox terrier desexed female. Microchipped.

UPDATE: She was handed in to Central City Vets the next morning. They looked her up on the Pets on Net Listing, also we'd phoned the Pound & I think they knew of her too. I'd stayed at Tawatawa Bush Reserve for 2 hours & walked home at about 4.30pm hoping she'd follow - we go up there by taxi & walk home near the end of the loop track.

As she didn't turn up that night I went back at 7am with a friend & a spade thinking she may have been trapped in a rabbit hole & would need digging out - but no - after barking for an hour she must have got tired & instead of coming home went south to the Reserve car park where a kind woman picked her up & took her home for the night then dropped her at her Vets next am. I take her harness off when I let her go so she doesn't get caught up on anything in the bush. The vet told me her microchip did not scan so that was unpleasant news & we will get it redone. I probably wont let her free range again.

So thank you for the helpful website it appears it alerts and/or informs people who can help.

She was chasing a rabbit in bush up high on the north end of Tawatawa Bush reserve off Murchison Road - could be heard barking but in steep terrain the barking stopped after an hour or so but no sign of her since
