German
Shepherd Rescue Trust -

Denise has true stories and pics of GSD's that
were exposed to cruelty prior to rescue and how
they have become success stories and what was
involved in their rehabilitation and rehoming to
"forever homes". Please note not all GSD
Rescues come from such horrific backgrounds, some
are also "have no time/room/moving
reasons" also... To those who may have had to
rehome their GSD via Denise for genuine reasons,
I'm not saying all her GSDs are from a background
of cruelty! Just she (unfortunately) has some
stories of animal welfare interest on her site and
also has real before and after pictures of her
successes. Plus I respect her very strict attitude
in rehoming and her determination to ensure the
dog is rehomed "for life". Denise is
very keenly animal welfare oriented, putting
animals first. And that's how it should be..
The
Humane Society
www.petsonthenet.co.nz/humanesociety
The HSNZ rescue and rehome dogs, often from death
row in pounds + provide financial help to those in
need to help desex their animals. (Not desexing
and allowing unwanted litters is a form of animal
cruelty - it sure does not help when shelters are
already under pressure!)
Lonely
Miaow
www.lonelymiaow.co.nz
Helping by desexing and feeding "colony
cats", taming and rehoming where possible
NZCAC
NZ Companion Animal Council www.nzcac.org.nz
SPCA Auckland
(they have an education officer as well, contact
weekdays 10 am - 4pm on 09 256 7300)
RSPCA NZ
(they cover all SPCA and RSPCA's NZ wide)
Pets
on the Net has helped these sites/organisations in
various ways usually rehoming by providing free advertising,
as we believe in their animal welfare messages and
goals.
Good
luck with your assignment, others link ideas

that I
think are worthwhile for pet lovers/community
orientated people... www.petsonthenet.co.nz/links
It's really hard to get a link from me, so there's
no long lists of irrelevant rubbish there..!
