Surgery
is defined as an “operation” that treats the illness or injury
Diagnostic work being non operative
procedures, examples are x-rays, MRI scans, Myelography, laboratory
tests and biopsies (biopsy is defined as examination of tissue
removed from the living body), are only refunded IF the results of
these lead to surgery.
On payment of premium, the policy
commences immediately for accident and after 90 days for illness,
subject to the acceptance of your application.
No liability is accepted for any
accident occurring after application, if your application is
subsequently declined.
Exclusions include inherited and
congenital conditions and neutering. The Surgery Policy has full
condition and exclusion details.
Select
Breeds, just as some dogs cost more to
feed, veterinary care costs more too. If you are covering one of
these select breeds, your premium will be higher: Boxer, Bulldog
(English & American), Bloodhound, Bouvier des Flanders, Deerhound,
Dogue de Bordeaux, Giant Schnauzer, Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound,
Leonberger, All Mastiff, All Mountain Dogs (Bernese, Estrela,
Pyrenean), Newfoundland, Old English Sheepdog, Rottweiler, St
Bernard and Shar-Pei.
The
Funeral Plan
may be purchased independently or added to any other Plan available,
prior to the pet turning 5 years of age.
