Petsonthenet currently works with hundreds of shelters NZ wide from
the smallest to the largest, from the biggest SPCAs and pounds right down to one
person rescues. We have a high rate of success with
thousands of animals reunited or rehomed through this website since
2002.
Petsonthenet is 100% FREE for all shelters
Petsonthenet gets over 100,000 site visits per month, we are
NZ's largest website for pets. As a special support for our shelter
friends, ads and extras that normally have fees for our standard
users, are TOTALLY FREE. - Our community service basic ads are still
free to all, but we now charge for optional ad extras such as
Attention Getters etc. We also now have a small charge for "non"
community ads ie Pets Accessories for Sale, however as a shelter all of this
will be totally be free to you. So please
join us and give your shelter and pets for adoption some great free
advertising and come share in our success!

Ready to get started?! Simply register and start posting your
ads.
Register
1) Go to our
ads
and click the "register" text link, fill in
the registration form making sure you fill in all
boxes marked " * "
2) IMPORTANT: Once successfully registered, please phone
us on 07
868 5581 (9am - 9pm) OR
drop us a quick email to advise us that you are a shelter. A
special code will then be put against your new username giving your shelter free access to otherwise
paid features on petsonthenet
Post ads
1) Once registered, you may post ads immediately. (Remember you can only post
ads that are normally free as a standard user until we have confirmed back to you that we have added the special
code to your account.)
2) Click the "place ad" tab. Select the section the ad is for i.e. Pets for Adoption and follow
your nose through the forms.
3) Add a picture if needed as you go through, it will resize your
picture AUTOMATICALLY for you. You can add pictures and
edit your ad
at any time of course.
4) Add your Attention Getter if desired, it's free for shelters!
5) Click "Submit" to place your ad. An onscreen success message
tells you when your ad is posted successfully. Ads post immediately, there is no
delay...
Please post your free shelter ad too!
Please post a general ad under the "Shelter"
category
telling people about your shelter, your aims, philosophies, what
animals/breeds you work with etc. You have 5000 characters and up to
six photos, a URL link and video link. You can edit and update
any of your ads any time you wish. This "shelter profile" ad acts as an "anchor" ad, so if you, or
we, wish to link to "all ads by this shelter", we link to
that as your "permanent" ad, as your other ads will obviously be coming
and going.

the category
from Pets for Adoption, to Success Stories.

change most things, so really
