On payment of premium, the policy commences immediately for accident and after 14 days for illness, subject to the acceptance of your application.
At entry date, if a dog is aged 5 years or over, a standard excess of 15% applies to all claims. Please contact us for premiums.

Exclusions include inherited and congenital conditions. The Pet Policy has full conditions and exclusion details.

Inherited conditions are passed down through the bloodlines from parents, grandparents and possibly further back to the offspring.  Hip Dysplasia is a common one.

Select Breeds, just as some dogs cost more to feed, veterinary care costs more too. If you are covering one of these select breeds, your premium will be higher: Boxer, Bulldog (English & American), Bloodhound, Bouvier des Flanders, Deerhound, Dogue de Bordeaux, Giant Schnauzer, Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound, Leonberger, All Mastiff, All Mountain Dogs (Bernese, Estrela, Pyrenean), Newfoundland, Old English Sheepdog, Rottweiler, St Bernard and Shar-Pei.
