Do you have a shop?
No. We sell only online. Our professional engraver engraves your tags and mails them to you from Auckland. Pets on the Net is a NZ's wide free service for lost and found pets operating from a home based office in Thames. No tags are held here for display/sale etc.

Our home/office address is not published online as we work as volunteers running this service. Office visits are strictly by appointment only. When our home address was published previously we got a few nutcases wandering around our property very late at night, looking and calling for their lost pets thinking WE had them...?!!!

You can contact us on admin@petsonthenet.co.nz or phone 07 868 5581 (9am-9pm please)

What is your lightest tag?
All the anodised aluminium ID tags are our lightest (fish, bone, heart and disc). But all the others are also quite light too and all have been used happily by cats. But choose the aluminium range if your pet is small or one of those who objects to any weight.

What is your best tag for a "rough/active" dog/cat?!
The best would be our
metal bone which is as thick as an old ten cent piece and very rigid. Would be pretty hard to chew...ow...! Also less likely to scratch than the anodised aluminium.

Can I add an extra line/s or phone number/s?
Yes. You already get two short lines as part of the tag cost. You may add one short extra line for $7.00 to any of our tags. It could be another contact number (work or cellphone, or your partners house where you live 50% of the time!). It could be about a special diet or medical condition "I'm deaf", "I'm blind", "Diabetic", "On meds" etc but it needs to be short to fit! Please note: We also have to engrave the words smaller to squeeze this extra info in, so the text will be small.

On our aluminuim disc ID tags only we can engrave both sides of the tag for you, so you can have up to six (short) lines (NB you get two lines included in the price, then it is $7 per extra line thereafter).

Why does it cost extra for an extra linet?
The engraver has to specially reset his machine each time he changes the number of lines, tag shape and font size, then he has to change it back again to the normal two line set up. We are charged for that time involved and so we have to pass it on to you, if you want to take advantage of the option of another line.

Which tag/s suit if I have a magnetic cat/dog door?
All the anodised aluminium range will be fine (hearts/bones/fish and disc) as they will not "attract" to your cat (or dogs) collar magnet!

Can I order internationally (outside New Zealand)?
No, we found that payment and delivery of goods outside NZ was problematic, so we no longer offer this option. Orders can only be accepted in NZ dollars and mailed within NZ (Standard Post).

Can I order now and pay later?
No. We will hold your order, and proceed on the nearest Tuesday to when your payment is received.

Are the aluminium discs lighter than the aluminium fish etc?
No, they are all aluminium and they are all about the same weight (very very light!) across the whole aluminium range (fish, hearts, bone and disc). The metal bone is a heavier metal...

What if I decide to cancel my order?
If your order has been paid for and you cancel it PRIOR to engraving proceeding, we will refund
you less any costs we have incurred in processing your order and refund ie) cost of electronic funds transfer or cheque back to you and any toll calls made to you prior to cancellation. If the tags have already been engraved, no refund will be made.

What if there is a problem with my order?
Please let us know ASAP so we may resolve the situation

Do you offer a bulk order discount?
Yes, it depends on the number of tags. A small discount only applies for ten tags onwards. There are higher levels of savings for higher quantities.  Our tags have been used in bulk in the past as wine glass charms engraved for weddings, promotions, to label machinery and for pet related organisations such as Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. Please advise what shape/s and colour/s, quantities of each and how many lines, if any, required to be engraved, and we will quote you.
