Petsonthenet strongly advocates that you
adopt, rather than buy a dog and save a life.
Huge numbers of dogs and puppies NZ wide are seeking homes right now,
often
they are free, require a set donation to the shelter. Shelter fees
usually cover desexing,
defleaing, deworming and
vaccinations, sometimes even registration and
microchipping.
So shelter dogs are excellent value. Although
many are crossbreeds, a good number of
purebreeds are also rehomed though shelters and rescues via
petsonthenet.co.nz. It's a
moveable feast, so you really need to check the pets for adoption section
daily.
If you are seeking a purebreed and there are
none for adoption, we suggest you
contact a member of the
NZKC (NZ
Kennel Club) to find a registered breeder.
We do not recommend you use an unregistered breeder, or a source where
the
breeder is unable to be identified ie petshops...
