Christmas Kitties
"...I
will tell you the story about the Mummy cat,
whom we have named Rima (Maori) for number 5
because we have 3 cats aged 9, 14, 15 years
and 1 stray that we welcome into our home, so
that makes with Rema number 5.
My Sister and Mum
run a motel in Central City and she had
booked a room for 2 days for a Woman, and when
she had left my Sister sent the Staff into clean
the room and to their surprise they found a
Pregnant cat (Rema) my Sister had rung around
everywhere to other pet services for help,
but wasn't able to get any, she gave us a call
and we just said to her put in the cat cage and
bring her over, we will take care of her.
When Rema arrived,
we were so taken back by her nature, she just
walked out of the cage and climbed up on my lap
and started to purr, she has just blended in,
she is a loving friendly cat, we don't think she
is very old,1yr at the most, we kept her inside
for 1 1/2 weeks and then she had her 5 beautiful
kittens not a problem.
She even let us pat
and comfort her while she was giving birth, she
goes outside now but not for long and then she
is straight back to her babies.
The
babies were born on Monday morning 4th Nov and
will be ready for homes just before Christmas.
Later... (just before Christmas)
Well I can tell
you there are good people out there. Over
the weekend a lovely Woman came to look at the
kittens and she wanted to give two of them a
good loving home with their Mummy, Rema. So
all three went together, with a weeks worth of
food for all, on the understanding that in 4
weeks time (when our vet informed us that the
Mum can be fixed) that we arrange her to go to
the vets and we will pay for it to be done.
She agreed to the terms and even offered to
pay half, but we said No, that we would like
to do that much for her.
We have a home for
the ginger male and have two left.
One
jet black Female and one black with white feet
and white under belly Male. (ALL
ADOPTED NOW THANKS! January 03). The three of these
kittens are amazing, they slept with us last
night, they are playing and purring, you know
from their second week of life they started
using the dirt box, and they just love to be
brushed, unfortunately the photo's we took
never came out right and didn't do them
justice.
Thank-you for all
your help and support, Casey and Ally
