 Animal Control Locations in NZ

Some Animal Control organisations pick up cats as well as dogs, so it pays
to check if your local one caters for cats too. Animal Control (otherwise known
as the pound) is run through your local council.

WARNING: Animal Control will impound a stray for a period of seven days.
After which time, they could be euthanised or re-homed. Please call
Animal Control frequently to ensure this doesn't happen to your pet.

Animal Control Listings are in alphabetical order by Council name below.
Click on the listing you require for more information. Where possible we give
you the link to their web site with more information on local dog bylaws,
 registration fees etc

These listings were collected way back in 2002...We have since had some
updates reported. If you find a listing is wrong/links are wrong etc, would you
please advise us so we can update our records below, thank you.
