Just chillin'

  • Is this box for me?

• Lily is a very sweet little cat, but is timid and anxious around new people and places.
• She was about 18 months old when I got her from the SPCA about 7 years ago.
• She takes a while to warm up to people, but with sensitive handling, she’ll reward you with her loud purr and bumping her head into you. She likes to sit on trusted laps and can’t resist a patch of sun.
• When she warms up, she’s playful like a kitten. She’s easily entertained: a pencil, a scrunched-up piece of paper, a small bouncy ball, and a box to sit in.
• She prefers to stay inside. She can use a litter-box, but her preference is to ‘toilet’ outside (when she’s feeling comfortable in her surroundings).
• She enjoys being around her ‘owner’, and will venture outside to explore the garden when I’m working in it.
• Lily needs a quiet home with no other cats or dogs.
• She is desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She has had her back teeth removed, so she eats mince-style cat food and dry food (but not raw meat unless it’s chopped finely). Her physical health is very good.
• She comes with 2 new cat doors: one is a microchip-reading one for a wooden or glass door, and the other is a 4-way-lock one for a wooden door.
• Her anxiety over changes in the last year has resulted in her tendency to over-groom (I’ve been away from home a lot, and we’ve moved house twice) – she has pulled some fur from her back legs. Poor sausage.

My life will continue to be unsettled and I really don’t want her to continue being anxious and fearful.
Please help me find a quiet, loving home for Lily. She’s a real sweetie.
